
Big Oak Tree Media Co-Founder and Director of Public Relations, Juan Alanis was appointed At Large Board Member for the Public Relations Society of America Houston Chapter (PRSA Houston). PRSA Houston is one of the nation’s largest and most active chapters of the Public Relations Society of America.
Founded in 1950, PRSA Houston focuses on helping members become more valuable to their organizations and clients, and therefore become more successful professionally, by:
- providing peer-based support;
- encouraging professional growth through participation in educational programs and leadership roles;
- and promoting the highest standards of professional competence and ethics.
Juan will serve a two year term with PRSA Houston, as well participate as a committee member of the PRSA Southwest District Conference taking place in Houston from April 24 to 26, 2019.
He is the founder of the award-winning national blog, Juan of Words, and co-owner and Director of Public Relations at the Houston based public relations and digital agency, Big Oak Tree Media. Formerly Vice President at FleishmanHillard, Juan specializes in crafting unique and integrated communications programs around thought-provoking insights.
His roster of clients to date includes some of the nation’s premier blue chip brands, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Walmart, Sonic Drive-In, Samsung, among various others.
